My fiance and I are getting married next June in a beautiful garden with vibrant colors. Does anyone have any idea on what types of flowers I should carry? We are using purple as our main color for bridesmaid dresses. What flowers are in bloom around that time? Please help.

Dear Selphie:
I think what you should do is meet with a florist, or at least go into a floral shop and look around. Selecting flowers is very much about personal taste and style. The florist will also be able to tell you which flowers are in season during your wedding month and which ones would be really expensive.
Best wishes,

I am a florist and can tell you that June is a great time for bridal flowers! You can get peonies, (THE BEST!) Tullips, Lilacs, Anemones, Freesia, Ranuculas, Wood Hyacinth, Sweet peas and lily of the valley, (for less than a fortune.) All of these flowers are in season and peak so start looking for what you love and live a little. This is why June is traditionally the best month to get married....Spring Abundance. Have fun planning and, of course, have a beautiful wedding!!!! Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
