     Flowers for summer wedding.

My wedding date is June 10. And I was wondering what flowers would be good to use. Such as what kind, colors, and real or fake. My colors are turquoise, silver, and white. The theme to my wedding is dolphins. I am lost for ideas. Please help!!Unsure

Smile Well, any bride that gets married in June has the good fortune to have Peonies available. Which are nothing short of fabulous! Turquoise is a pretty color but not an easy one to mix with other colors. I would suggest sticking to the white cream, silver, lime and ivory shades for the flowers.
Perhaps something like white peonies and lilac with splashes or silver crystal accents and graceful loops of long beargrass would be nice. Other flowers to consider might be dendrobium orchid sprays (they have a long flowy line befitting the dolphin theme,) freesia, spray roses, white allium or wood hyacinth, lilies and silver grey accent leaves like dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and artemesia.
If you like a touch of turquoise ribbon in the attendants flowers could be added in the form of a ribbon wrapped stem treatment or a few ribbon loops in with the flowers.
I absolutely can't recommend silk flowers for the wedding bouquet unless severe allergy is the reason. As I have said here on several occassions, your wedding day is a perfect moment in time and fresh perfect flowers convey that like nothing else.

Keep the colors simple and elegant. With your theme silver can be a fun touch to work with on the tables and other areas. Floating candles in cylinders filled with swirls of silver thread or ribbon would be an nice accent. Perhaps on a pale overlay of turquoise sheer fabric bunched up. Just start thinking happy thoughts and ideas will start to flow...happy happy now...no more frowns! Your'e getting married! Congratulations! love and take care...Sue Wink
