I am planning an upcoming wedding for April and am doing all my own bouquets. My wedding colors are chocolate brown, pink (either fuschia or pale) and sage/lime green. My gown is off white and my bridesmaids are wearing chocolate brown. For the bouquets I was planning on using pink tulips (as I really wanted to incorporate the spring feel) accented with champagne roses. I wondered if you could suggest how to incorporate green into the bouquet? I was thinking green carnations, but I wasn't sure how tacky this would look. Thanks.

Hi...skip the carnations please. Order variegated pittsoporoum leaves and some green hypericum berries or mini green hydrangea. For your attendants you might consider using a couple different shades of pink tulips accented with about 3 stems of the hypericum berries or mini hydrangea and backed with the variegated leaves. For you perhaps do the same with the addition of the roses and perhaps bases with white hydrangea. Also a good tip about working with tulips is to keep them in just an inch or two of cold water. Over hydrating them causes legginess and sometimes bending. They are so nice though! Have fun and a beautiful wedding day! A Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
