Idea for flowers for a pink and brown wedding in June
I am getting married in June and I have a budget of $1000 for all wedding flowers. I have a color scheme of brown and pink. The bridesmaids are wearing brown dresses with a cotton candy pink sash. What are some ideas for inexpensive flowers that will match a pink and brown color scheme? I have seven bridesmaids, six groomsmen, 17 parents and grandparents for whom I need to buy flowers. Well in June you have the glorious benefit of having Peonies available. Perhaps the most perfect wedding flower ever. Look for some interesting brown ceramic bowls and float a single huge peony in each. If you want to get a little more edgy, add a few loops of bear grass or a bit of vine to the look. If brown bowls don't suit then maybe try a large low glass bowl with a few floating candles with the peonies and vine under water. Have your attendants carry something quite small but exquisite and perfectly finished off rather that a lot of fussy cheaper flowers. Perhaps a pair of long stemmed pink roses with a beautiful long ribbon or something like that. Parents get what parents want...that just has to happen (and I assume you meant 7 , not 17.) Church flowers can perhaps be shared. If not I think it is safe to forgo them in a lot of cases where there are a lot of attendants like this. Alternately, you can often achieve a very elegant look with simple tall vases or baskets filled with tall curly willow branches and greens from the garden. Sometimes a wreath or touch of wedding outside the door can be all you need there as well. Get whatever you want for your bouquet and use it for your centerpiece at your sweetheart table or wherever you are going to be seated. Get clever but not fussy with your centerpieces but don't skimp there...that is where your guests will be spending the most time and will set the level of elegance for your party. Use the attendants flowers to ring your cake or as accents somewhere. You have a close but by no means impossible budget and plenty of time to make it work out. Come up with a plan before you go out and start buying things.. I see so many brides with huge amounts of leftovers( which translates to wasted money,) due to lack of planning ahead. Sales at craft stores don't save money unless it is something you will be sure to use. Map it out, work smart and have a phenomenal wedding day! Hugs!
