My wedding date is June 9. My colors are blue, white, and black and I love Stargazier lilies. I was wondering which flowers would go with the color theme and Stargaziers for a bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, and boutonnieres? I don't want anything too expensive or extravagant.
Well stargazer lilies are beautiful and hold their own nicely. You could really go with just them and some fillers if you like. You could nestle them into a lime or white hydrangea and add a few white spray roses to that if you want a round handtied look. Very soft georgeous peonies will also be availible that time of year, lucky you.
Alternately you could just get super top quality lilies and add a bit of beargrass and tree fern and a nice wrap and have a super casual look.
Bouttionneires to go with these are always tricky. One flower I really think works well for that is called a white NERINE lily. You would break off small individual bud son them. Alstromeria is also a good choice...they are very similar tonally to stargazers and the right size for corsages and bouts.
I would minimize mixing the blue into the bridal party flowers. Just let it be the background color. Keep it classy and simple. Hope this helps! Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
