     Keeping Floral centerpieces

I would like the designate the table centerpieces to go to my family members as opposed to someone who has the closest birthday at the table [or something silly like that]. Is it best to have the DJ announce my wishes? Or is it best to put a note on the table at the base that politely says to not take the flowers? If the latter, can you suggest some wording? Thank you!

Dear Keeping the Centerpieces,

This happens quite often due to the need to return rentals. So, many times a polite note asking for guests to, "Please do not remove the centerpieces" is placed next to them. This does imply that we are expecting our guests to take them--not the best implication. But, this is unavoidable when we need to return rentals. This would work in your case because no one needs to know that you are giving these to family and not returning them to a rental agency.

Best wishes,
