     Making my own wedding flowers

We will be making all of our centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, bout. etc. How far in advance can I make them. I was planning on going to the floral mart on Thursday am and starting on Thursday. I am just worried about the roses drooping by Sat in the centerpieces and the bouquets, corsages, and the bouts. since they won't be in water. Do I put the hand held bouquets in water? And the corsages and the bout.? How can I keep them fresh if I must use floral tape? I want to use roses in the corsages and bouts. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

CrazyOk...Here it goes ...You will need corsage boxes or bags and a spray called crowning glory( a preservative) Make sure the flowers are well hydrated before you work with them. When taping the stems be sure there are no gaps in the tape.
Work quickly on the corsages and as soon as you are done spray and seal each into a bag or box and put in the fridge. Make sure the fridge has no apples , fruit or cruddy stuff in it which can cause browning sometimes. You will be fine for Saturday. Your hand held bouquets should be made up and just held together with a string or pipe cleaner and put into vases of lukewarm water until the morning on Saturday. Then dry and wrap the stems, give them a fresh cut and be on your way.
In case you do not already know here is the right way to treat roses. Strip most of the leaves off. Draw a deep bucket of lukewarm water. Cut the stems off at least 2 inches and put them right into the water. If you want them to stay tightly budded instead of opening loosley wrap their heads in craft paper to keep them from opening as they hydrate. You are good to go after about 4 or so hours. Best of luck and have fun...(wear gloves please to preserve your bridal manicure..)
