My bridal bouquet will have calla lillies, babies breath, and mini roses. My bridesmaids will be carrying just calla lillies. Will having hydrangeas for the wedding reception centerpieces be okay? Must the bouquets and the centerpieces match? My colors for the wedding are a gentle purple, gentle yellow, and white.
Thank yoU!

Sounds really pretty but I would like to see a little continuity. Hydrangeas make great centerpieces though so how about adding to them a bit to pull things together a bit. Perhaps a little lavender filler (look for blue butterfly asters and see what you think), a few of the small roses and some babies breath. Nice greens like lemon leaf will add some nice style too.
There is nothing wrong about having more color at the reception than at the wedding. It's nice sometimes to turn it up a notch. I don't know what color hydrangea you are using but really all of them would work as long as you tie in a little of the other theme flowers.
I think you're on a roll. Just a little fine tuning and a tweak or two. Have a beautiful wedding and stay happy!!! Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
