     Purple Roses?

Hello, I am planning a September wedding and my primary color is claret red with dark purple and metalic gold accents. I would like to have bouquets that are exclusively roses. Would it be better to have a bouquet that contrasts the claret red bridesmaid dresses? Red roses are so much easier to find and make beautiful bouquets, but I'm afraid that will blend in with the dresses. Is there a purple rose? I have seen black roses that look purple, but are these very expensive? (Price is a consideration). Thank you!

SmileFi4rst of all be comforted...all roses cost close to the same amount. And for as beautiful as they are quite reasonable. Yes, it will be important to get a combination that will show up against the claret dresses. What I picked up on to help with that is when you mentioned the gold metallic accents! There are some 2 tone roses could really add a wow. Heres a list of varieties to look at.
FASHION, gold on the outside and deep warm red inside!
LATIN LADY, pinkish red with lighter pink on the outside petals.
LIPSTICK, reddish orange with gold outer tones.
BLACK BEAUTY, dark red with amaxing deep toned inside and lighter outside.
I am not familiar with any deep purple roses but in lighter tones DELILAH and MASCARA might be worth a look.
WinkPurple and gold look amazing together. Against the red even better. Play up this great combination. Get some gold into the mix as well. Could be some fabric leaves, (which do not have to look tacky if you use them in a minimal wayWink, small berries or a few spray roses. In roses use several shades or red, purple and a bit of gold. DO back the bouquets with a bit of greens which will help pull the colors together.
Now get some creative juices flowing on the stem wrap area. How about deep purple satin ribbon with a gold cording, tassles or beads as accents. This can give you a top of the line look for just a little more thought and effort, and its a cinch to do with a bit of practice...Good luck and I hope this helps. Have a great wedding!!!
