My wedding is September at the very begining of the fall season. I am wondering what would be the best flowers to use.

You can get lots and lots of great flowers in the fall. You need to first consider the color palette you like and then take it from there. Consider colors, how much texture you like and the overall feel you want to convey. Then we can start narrowing down choices. Some of the different sorts of flowers that are available in September would be Dahlias, sunflowers, mokara orchids, bellflower, campanula, lisianthus and all sorts of textural goodies. Gerber daisies are also in full plumage at that time. Start pulling out pictures of colors and shapes you like and just get a folder for all that stuff. When it comes time to make more decisions go to a good floral designer for suggestions and input. Even if you decide to do your own flowers that is an essential fact finding mission for which you should make time. Most designers are happy to consult with brides, especially in the winter months when there are not as many weddings in process. We all love our Brides and even better when they visit on a quiet winter afternoon... Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
