I am trying to plan a wedding for April of '09. My fiancee actually suggested using Tangerine for our color; so I am trying to find iudeas for a cream, black and tangerine colored theme. Can you give me any suggestions for Tangerine/bright orange colored flowers that would work with white lilacs and white roses and possibly calla lilies?
Thank You

There is a nice little spray rose called Mambo you might try. I think mini gerber daisies might be one of the best to work into the theme, though. You might be able to find some with dark centers to pick up the black as well. Better yet, what about using full sized roses in the color for your attendants and white only in your bouquet (or vice versa). There are callas (called peach chifffon) in soft ivory to orange tones as well. I would also suggest lime green accents to offset the bouquets. Vibirunu,(mini hydrangea) blupurum or just any lime toned leaf will help pull it together in an elegant way. Just roses, callas (or tulips if callas seem too costly), gerbers and the lilac you mentioned would be beautiful. You could even consider lilac toned lilacs for the bridesmaids or centerpieces and pull another color in. Sounds pretty. Have fun! Sue of Hobart's Fine Florals http://www.hobartsfineflorals.com
