Using potted plants for reception centerpiece

For my reception flowers I was thinking about using potted plants and covering the ugly plastic pots that most flowers come in with foil. My wedding colors are blue, silver, purple, and white- so I was thinking peace lillies with silver foil on the pots. Would this be too weird?

WinkHi, If you want my truly honest opinion I would suggest you try to find a nicer pot cover. Foil is ok for poinsettias and Easter lilies but not very nice for centerpieces.

Potted plants are a fine idea, and even the peace lily would work but I would like to see a more creative pot cover system. A simple white ceramic or even plastic cache pot with a bit of ribbon (maybe silver)and moss to cover the soil would give you a much more refined look for only a few more dollars per table.

Fuss just a bit more ...Your wedding day is important! Have a great one!
