Wedding flowers using blue and brown

Hi, I'm using blue as my main color. A lighter blue for the bridesmaids dresses, my dress is ivory. I would like to tie brown it too. Our wedding is in Mexico on the cliff overlooking the beach but will still be formal. I like simple but elegant. I'm having difficulty finding a good/color flower arrangements.

I'm going to do color table cloths, brown long and light blue on top.

I need suggestions for the bridesmaids bouquets as well as the centerpieces?? I was thinking I have to tie blue into it (hydrangeas) maybe a little green? yellow? brown? Any flower suggestions, arrangements would be so very helpful. I'm getting married this May and need to decide in the next week or so! Thanks

Well the light blue Equadorian hydrangea would be a good base for your overall look. Also for a tropical pop look into blue agapanthus. Butter yellow and lime green would be nice mixed in and a few chocolate brown hypericum berries would pull in your browns. There are certain shades of gerber daisies that have brown centers that might work to that purpose as well. Some lilies have brown spotted throats that would also do the trick.

Have you spoken to the floral designer yet? That is really what you need to get this planning pulled together. Regional flowers are wonderful additions and there might be a whole lot of variables in Mexico. Talk to the site manager at your function and get going with ideas that way. They probably have the best idea of what you will want to do. Best of luck and a great wedding to you!

Thanks for the response. I really appreciate it. You mentioned some flowers I haven't heard of which is helpful. I'm meeting with my florist next week - I'm going to take your suggestions.

Thanks again,
Julie
