What colors of flowers to complement burgundy?

Hello,

I am getting married this September and am having a very hard time deciding on what color/colors of flowers to have! I am wearing an ivory dress and the bridesmaid dresses are burgundy. I am also having gold as an accent color. I love cream and white color roses but would like some color. Help! I feel overwhelmed!Crazy

SmileNo worries at all...You just need to get into the feel of fall. There are a lot of two toned roses to explore with both burgundy and soft gold already blended. I do think adding fall toned golds next to the burgundy dresses would be great. Look into the gold toned calla lilies, hypericum berries, freesia in red (which has a lot of gold in the centers.) Another amazing bloom for fall is the dahlia...it comes in fantastic blended tones and is truly a stunning flower. Google up rose viareties and the flowers mentioned and try to visualize a mixture.

I'd say a visit to a florist with a good portfolio is in order. You just need to get your eyes on a few good fall blends with burgundy, gold , ivory and maybe a touch of raspberry and lime accents. Now is a good time of year to have a florist consultation. Does not get real busy until the week before mothers day then it is off and running.

Transposing colors to create the variations you want works too. Look into some of the previous flower posts for how that works. Take care, a deep breath and have some fun!!!!
