What flowers are available in October?

I have an early October Wedding. I would like to buy local (upper midwest) organic flowers for my bouquet if at all possible. Any idea what kinds of flowers might be available?

BlushWell, I am a Northeast florist. The best way to find out whats availible in your area is from your local farms. I suspect you will find Dahlias, cosmos, asters, zinnias and all sorts of seed pods and grasses.

You should start looking into farms and places to get them from. Most florists do not buy a whole lot locally without a good connection. God has a lot of authority over how crops succeed or fail (as in bugs, rain, sun, wind, etc...) If you want to count on local organics then get the farmer on your mission so they can do their best to get you good quailty flowers at the right time.

All the Best and have a beautiful wedding....Sue Hobart
