My son is getting married out of state. He and his finance have asked me to make the flower arrangements, corsages and bouts. The mother of the bride keeps adding people to the list of who she wants to wear flowers. Who should be getting them? And are all these people invited to the rehearsal dinner which I am paying for?

Dear Wedding Flowers, I'm sorry that you are feeling pressured. Traditionally the groom's parents are responsible for corsages, boutonnieres, and bride's bouquet for the wedding party, just the bridal party, which usually includes the ushers. As for the rehearsal dinner, usually the invited includes the bridal party and their spouses, immediate family members, parents of the children in the wedding (if the children are invited), and the officiant and spouse. The list could grow to include out-of-town guests. Just because this is named a rehearsal dinner does not mean that it has to be an expensive sit down dinner in a restaurant. You could host any sort of gathering, such as a brunch or tea. The one problem is that this is an out of town affair. Hopefully you can find some alternative that you can feel comfortable with. Sincerely,

I'm getting married in Sept. 2006. I am very anxious to get started. I have something done as far as I have my gown, my attendees picked as well as my wedding party picked. But I was wondering, how early can you pick and buy the flowers for the wedding. I would like to do it now, but if it's too early, then I'll wait. I have 22 months.....Please help
