     advice for colors

Hi,

I'm the bride and my dress is ivory and champagne. We are getting married on the 23rd of September so would like to have fall colors for our flowers. My bouquet is going to consist of off white roses mixed with a handful of burgundy roses. My maid of honor is wearing burgundy and my junior bridesmaid is wearing a slightly darker shade of ivory than my dress.

I want them both to carry roses but can't decide on the blend of colors for their bouquets. Should they have a bouquet that stands out against their individual colored dresses or should they carry the same bouquets? I was thinking of having my jr. bridesmaid carry burgundy and my maid of honor carry off white but I'd also like to have them add a burst of color to the day and our pictures, will they outshine me in this case? My husband to be will wear a burgundy rose and his groomsmen will wear off white roses, our centre pieces will be a mixture of red, burgundy, orange and yellow roses.

My mom will be walking me down the aisle and she is wearing a pale yellow dress, what color rose corsage should she wear to compliment her dress and should the grooms mother wear the same color?

And our grandmothers? Should they have the same color and size corsages as our mothers?

Your continued help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Christina

Smile You're doing fine - you just need a little help with the blend. One rose that comes to mind for the bridesmaid is called "LatinLady." It has red front petals and pinkish white on the backs of the petals. That might just do the trick. Perhaps for the pop of color in your bridesmaids you should look for a wheat, chocolate or honey colored accent. There are lots of interesting textural things availible. One that comes to mind is called Brunneria. Your florist can help you locate a textural pop that will distinguish the attendants without overshadowing anyone. You might also consider adding a spray rose in a brighter red or a mango shade to the attendants - very classy look and makes a more elegant statement than the textural stuff. Scarlet Mimi and macarena are two colors to look for there.
Corsages ...Usually some color on the Moms' and neutral tones for Grandmothers'. Usually all the same size more or less. Good luck and it sounds pretty!Cool
