     bouquets with electric blue flowers

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my flowers. My bridesmaids dresses are electric blue and I would like to add touches of the color to my/bridesmaids bouquet. I like cala lillies and/or hydrangeas...but any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hi Miss Blue! There is a truly georgeous electric blue delphinium called "volkerfrieden" Even though it is a flower on a stalk your florist can wire individual blooms to add a perfect blue spark to the bridesmaids and maybe even a touch to your bouquet. Other possibilities are iris (but not in hot summertime,it might wilt.) Also ask your florist about brodea, agapanthus, balloon flower, campanula, veronica, aconitum and muscari. Sorry to bring in so many rough names but all of them are blue and most are somewhat seasonal so your date will have an effect on availability. White calla lilies with blue accents can be fabulous and quite formal of that is what you like. If you are thinking a little more casual you may consider adding another shade to just the attendants bouquets. Perhaps a bit of lime or pale butter yellow...just a thought. Happy planning and enjoy!
