colour wedding flower arrangements and styles of bouquet

Hi,

I am getting married on the beach in Thailand and I need some help deciding on my bouquet and my bridesmaid's bouquet. My dress is ivory colour and princess design,. My bridesmaid's dress is a mix of purple and pink flowers on silvery/grey material. My flowergirls' dresses are purple, my favourite colour. The ceremony area will be covered in purple and ivory coloured orchids.

Please, can you give me advice on what colour wedding flower arrangements and styles of bouquet would suit both me and my bridesmaid (e.g. cascade etc)
Thanks

For the bridal bouquet, you need to ask yourself what look do you like? Do you like the hand-tied style: more round in nature with cut stems at the base, or do you prefer a cascade or waterfall bouquet which sweeps down? It really is based on your preference, and your body stature. A large cascade might not compliment someone with a petite stature, while something on the smaller side will bring out your beauty. When it comes to the colour of your bouquet, you can do one of two things, either stay on the neutral side with all whites and ivories or be a little bold and go with the purples with hints of pinks.

For your bridesmaids, you will want to choose flowers to compliment their dresses in the pink and purple shades. The style of their bouquets need not match yours, for instance, if you have a waterfall bouquet, they can carry hand-tied bouquets.

Considering that you are using orchids for the ceremony area, make sure that the florals you choose tie into the look of the surroundings so that there is a flowing decor theme from the bridal party to the ceremony florals. Good luck and congratulations!

Thailand provides most of the world with beautiful Mokara and dendrobium orchids. They come in purple, pink, red, gold, orange, green and ivory with purple edges. There is nothing better than that!
If you want to go a little different, have the floral designer mix them up a bit and do some leave furling around the stems.
The people of Thailand have a different sensibility toward flowers than we do. I am sure the people in charge of the wedding place have some great skills and suggestions. Let them guide you.
Going into a destination wedding with pre-determined American ideas is more likely to limit than enhance the situation. When you have someone who does the same venue all the time they will know what works best.
Be sure to show them your gown, bridesmaids dresses and your details but give them the chance to help coordinate the overall look for you. It is what they do, and I bet they do it well.
What a beautiful place to get married. Let go a little and enjoy the experience!
Ditto too on the first response. The style is determined by your stature and your gown a bit. Your designer will understand that. So, be sure she sees you and your gown.Cool
