     flowers for mothers

My daughter is getting married this July. We have been so delighted that we are having fun and haven't butted heads on anything yet!

I've never really cared for corsages. They always seem heavy to me. I had originally thought that a wrist corsage would be the answer, but I read on this forum that I might look a bit like I lost my way to the prom! I have no desire to carry a flower either.

My daughter and I have discussed this and tend to think that we ought to just skip the flowers for the mothers and grandmothers. She talked to the MOG and she was fine with anything we decide.

Am I going to look strange without any flowers? Will this be OK?

Dear WAH,

This is fine. There is no rule that the wedding must have flowers anyway. Including flowers and herbs began many centuries ago as a way to protect the bride from evil. So, it really is a choice today.

Best wishes,

Smile I would like to advise you to carry a little something to help identify you as the Mother. There mighet be guests on the other side of the aisle who might not be 100% sure who you are. Of course there is no reason you have to have flowers. That is just my take on the debate. Have a great wedding and i hope all plans continue on such a smooth path...That's the most important thing!Wink
