I June 10th still considered spring for flowers? Is it considered spring at all? I don't know what season of flowers to look at. I'm not sure what shade of purple I'm looking for for the bridal party dresses, but is there a color of flowers that would go with any shade of purple?

Re: [punkchic1221] flowers to go with a purple dress and in June

Well you actually can be really happy about June 10th as a time for the wedding...Flowers are in first flush gay abandon and a lot of the best is available. One delightful thing to know is that it is peak for Peonies....Possibly one of the nicest flowers ever... They come in Pinks and deep purply pink and white (and a few colors in between!!!) You may be on the tail end of some of the spring blooms like lilac and tulips but you will be able to get anemonies, ranuculas, and a lot of other seasonal treasures...Even Lily of the valley might be in season and thus not cost an arm and a leg. What seems to work out best in terms of planning is to establish the dress color and start browsing magazines and googling up wedding bouquet photographs. Put a floder together of what you like then take that to your floral designer and let them shoe you the options that fit your style...All very fun... To answer your question...I am not sure if it is spring or summer exactly...But it sure is a good time for flowers!!! Be happy and Have fun...
