B/G living with parents after wedding

I am going to a wedding in July where the groom currently lives in the home of the bride and her family. After the wedding they are going to continue to live with them. They have asked for a house full of items on their registries.

What is proper in this case? They have asked for items including a tent, bookcases, lamps etc. Is this right? I feel like they want things for a home they aren't even going to have.

Just wondering?

They can ask for anything that a couple might want for their home. Perhaps they are planning ahead for a home they intend to buy - who knows? This doesn't mean you have to select anything from the registry.
