Bounced check for a wedding gift

Hello

We recently got married and two of our friends gave us a check as a wedding present...and it bounced. And the bounced check actually ended up costing us about $100 with our bank, as it caused us to overdraft on a few items. I feel awkward saying anything and of course would never ask them to cover the extra costs, as we should not have spent that money until the check cleared. I have not heard from either of them yet and it has been almost a month. I have already sent them a thank you card, so I assume they are a bit embarrassed. Is there anything I can do or say or just let this one drop?

There really isn't much you can/should do. They know the check bounced so it's up to them to come forward to cover it.
