Can we give a donation as a gift?

We are invited to my cousin's wedding; she's in her 40's and this is her first wedding and his second. They do well and are not just starting out, so I would like to give a donation to a charity in their honor, and was wondering if this is appropriate or not. Thanks for your answer.

Dear Sasha,

This would be appropriate. But, it may be best to check with the typical stores to see if they are registered or ask. They may want something. After all, this is her first wedding. Just because she is older doesn't mean she wouldn't want anything.

But, charity is good.

Best wishes,
