     Destination Wedding Gift

My boyfriend is the best man in a Destination Wedding. We are all friends, and I have been invited through him. The airfare and accomidations are in excess of $3,000 which are not being paid for by the bride and groom. I am attending the shower and have a shower gift. My boyfriend is paying for a Bachelor Party. Should we also give a gift for the Destination Wedding? If so, what is appropriate?

Dear Calendar,

Unfortunately a gift is proper. It could be a group gift and not expensive.

It is unfortunate the couple is not paying for lodging. It is their obligation.

Best wishes,
