My fiance and I are paying for the our wedding. We are providing my bridesmaids with their outfits, hair and makeup and the groomsmen with their tuxes. He thinks that since we are providing their outfits we dont need to give them thank you gifts. Both sides of the wedding party are throwing us parties (bachelor, bachelorette, and bridal shower). Are we required to give gifts? Is it tacky not to give gifts? Is there a certain amount we should spend on these gifts, if required?
Thank you so much for any help!

You have certainly gone above and beyond for your wedding party. However, I think some little personalized token to the attendants would be nice. It would not have to be expensive but just a little something to say thank you would be nice. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

I couldn't agree more. It really is a nice gesture for those who are doing so much for you. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
