     Exchanging Gift to be Given

I had purchased a gift reluctantly from one of the bride's registries, but found another gift I'd rather give at another store. Is it poor etiquette to return the already purchased gift for another one from another registry because it is something more appropriate and frankly I would rather give?

Dear Exchanging,

As long as you haven't given the gift yet, it is fine. Give the gift you wish to give. It doesn't even have to be from the registry. It is your gift.

Best wishes,
