Gift for the sister of girlfriend.

I have been invited to the wedding of my girlfriends sister as the guest of my girlfriend. We have been together for about 8 months, but I have only met her sister twice and only for about 10 minutes each time. I'd like to know if I should provide a gift? I have no qualms about doing so, but I don't want to overstep my bounds or make my girlfriend uncomfortable.

Your girlfriend, as the invited guest, should purchase the gift.
