     Gifts for parents

My wedding is May 27th and I have everything finished except for gifts for the parents. I live in FL and my wedding is in TN so my mom has planned EVERYTHING!!! My parents have paid for the whole wedding. The grooms parents paid for the honeymoon and are giving us money to take with us. I want to get them both something really special and I have been racking my brain but I can not think of anything!!! Please anyone just throw some ideas out there for me. THANKS!!! Smile

You are a lucky couple indeed and you obviously recognize this. Bravo!

A keepsake is always a nice gift. A special photo album or frame with a picture of all of you on the wedding day, etc.

It really depends on your budget. As a parent myself, I can say with 100% certainty that, all I would need as a gift, corny as it sounds, is to see my children happy and to hear that from them as well. Let your parents know how much youmappreciate them.

Well I was thinking about getting a frame or something engraved but is approriate to give them a gift after the wedding? Shouldn't we give them the gift a the dinner. We are giving the wedding party their gifts so I was thinking that we needed to give the parents their gifts at the same time....

You definitely could give it any time. But, if you are giving your wedding party their gifts at the rehearsal dinner, this would be the opportune time to give your parents theirs as well.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

You can give a frame without the picture or with a picture of you and your parents (for now).

Other types of gifts can be a gift certificate for a day spa, movie or play, etc. Think about your parents interests and come up with something really special as a treat.
