my boyfriend has just asked me to marry him. happy occassion, right? wrong.
this will be my third marriage(im 33) and this will be his first marriage (hes 44).
my first wedding was big(most everyone was there), my second wedding was at a justice of the peace, and this wedding, he would like to have in a church.
heres the problem, im afraid with it being my 3rd, he will miss out on all parts of the excitment of the wedding.
we live together, so it's not like we need alot of gifts, but at the same time, I would love for him to be able to have them. he has no living relatives and only a handful of friends (all guys).
how do we address the gift issue as to where we let people know its not necessary but if they would like to bring them, they will be greatly appreciated.
please help me with this. I have no idea as where to go from here.
thanks,
3's a charm.

Dear 3's a charm -
I don't see the issue. Gifts are acceptable for all weddings. If you don't want them, or if you do and have a gift preference, you can tell anyone who asks. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

well, i would have thought being i've done this 3 times that it would be greedy for me to accept any gifts, so i'm fine without them, but for him, it wouldn't be fair. thanks for your help. I was stressing over that so much. the rest should be a breeze (i hope).
