Gifts without names, how to write thank you cards?
We got married overseas and all the Americans gave us registered gifts or cards with a name. Unfortunately, a bunch of my overseas family bombarded us with gifts outside the church....and they didn't write their names on them! Can I just write 'thank you for your generosity' or something on the thank you cards to them?

Dear Powoerrose,
The problem is that you don't know who gave and who didn't. If you were to thank someone for their generosity and they didn't give you anything, it may seem as if you are being sarcastic. So, it may be best to play detective and to ask someone close to mention what he gave to you and hope that others will divulge what they gave. This usually works well, but is a lot of work especially given the distance.
