Help how much to give as a wedding gift

I am very close with my brother who is getting married in 1 month. I am standing up in the wedding party. They are having a wishing well since they have everything they need but how much is the right amount to give as a gift?

Thanks

Confused

Dear Confused:

Typically, a wishing well is something that is included in the bridal shower. It is traditionally used to collect small items for the bride such as kitchen utensils, stationery, recipe cards...small items.

If you are asking what is the proper amount of money to give as a wedding gift I'm afraid ther is no real "rule" regarding amounts. If you are giving money, give what you can afford. If you are selecting a gift, choose it based on your personal knowledge of the couple or from their gft registry, if they have one. Always give a wedding gift, or any gift, from the heart.
