     How many gifts are appropriate?

It has been some time since I was invited to a shower and a wedding that I could attend both. There is a couples shower this month and the wedding following in late April. Is it customary to give two gifts? one at the shower and one at the wedding?

Yes, it is appropriate to give one gift for the shower and one for the wedding. The shower gift should be something smaller, less expensive than the wedding gift though.
