My husband and I were invited to our friend's daughter's destination wedding, but cannot attend. We have only met the daughter once, briefly, many years ago, and have never met the groom. We are casual friends with the bride's parents--dinners, movies, etc. and were quite surprised we made the cut. What is an appropriate gift amount?
