     How to give wedding gift

I have been invited to a wedding. They are close friends. I cannot attend the reception, but I am going to the actual wedding. The wedding is at 2:00 and the reception at 5:00 at a different location. I have the gifts purchased, but dont know how to give them as ive never had to bring a gift too a wedding (Last wedding was a reception at same time). Do the gives get opened during the reception?

Thanks,

John

Wedding gifts should be mailed to the home of the bride before the wedding.

This alleviates any need for the couple to have to carry gifts back home and makes sure that nothing is lost or stolen.

Ahh ok, should I mail it even though we live in the same town? Honestly I really am more familliar with the groom, and he is away in the Army now, and id feel weird just delivering it by hand to them, but also Id feel stupid mailing when they live like 10 miles from me, should I?

Just as the wedding invitations are mailed, not hand delivered, so should the wedding gift be mailed -- to the home of the bride. Don't worry -- no one will think you're odd. I'm sure they will receive othr gifts. Smile
