     Is a wedding gift expected?

My husband, (the owner) has received a wedding invitation from an emplyee. I wrote a personal note declining, due to our vacation. Is a gift expected? If yes, how expensive a gift?

Dear Is it expected,

It may be expected, but all gift giving is optional and should not be expected. A wedding invitation is not a request for a gift, so don't worry. If you wish to give something, it could be anything large or small.

Sincerely,
