MOH paying for part of the wedding as a gift?

I've been asked to be the MOH in my friend's wedding; there is only myself and the Best Man standing in the ceremony.

The couple has been living together for a couple years with her 2 children from a previous marriage. They just recently bought their first house together, so they pretty much have everything already.

The bride has mentioned to me that they're keeping the wedding small and intimate (75 guests or less) to cut down on the expenses. Would it be tacky if I offered to pay for a part of the wedding as a gift to the couple? ie. the DJ, the flowers, or the photographer?

Dear Lolina,

No, this is a very thoughtful gift--not tacky at all. Just offer it to her or them in private.

Best wishes,
