     My date paying for gift?

So my friend, who I have know for several years, sent a wedding invite to "me and guest," which would be my significant other.

My question is: is it appropriate for my date to pay for part of the wedding gift, considering they have never met the two getting married? I'd feel kind of bad if they paid out money for a gift for someone they dont know. Help!

And, thanks!

The gift would be your responsibility. Smile
