     No Packaged Gifts?

Is it okay to put no packaged gifts on wedding invitations? My fiance and I live out-of-town from the wedding and will be unable to carry the gifts home with us, especially since we are going on a two week honeymoon, then flying directly home to ga?

It is never polite to mention gifts on a wedding invitation. Plus, the proper etiquette for wedding gifts is to send them to the home of the bride before the wedding. Unfortunately, if your guests do not understand that etiquette and they haven't been informed by word of mouth, then you might end up with some gifts brought to the wedding. You will have to pack and send them to your home or have a friend or family member handle that for you.
