     Non-attendee gifts

I have been invited to a wedding that I cannot attend - do I still send a gift? Should it be a more expensive gift to make up for not attending?

It is your choice of what, or any gift to send to a wedding you are not attending. Many etiquette experts feel you are obligated. Our opinions here revolve around your relationship with the couple. if you're close to them and would like to send a token of your esteem then please do so. If you haven't seen this couple in years or are not good friends then you can certainly send a card wishing them well.
