Open wedding gifts at workplace shower

I am throwing a luncheon/shower for a co-worker (not truly a shower since most of us are not invited to the wedding.) Most peole are buying wedding gifts off of the wedding registry. Should the bride open the gifts at the party or wait and open them with her future husband? Thank you.

Dear Hostess,

Typically for the work shower, the guests are not obligated to give a gift. If they give, it may be a group gift or there is a dollar limit (low cost). She should open these at the luncheon.

Best wishes,
