     Postcards as Thank you notes?

Hello,

First, thanks for all your help while I was planning my wedding!

I'm on my honeymoon and have run out of traditional, formal thank you stationary for writing thank you notes. All that's available here locally is postcards. I'd like to buy them in the interest of getting the notes written as quickly as possible, but am not sure if they're acceptable. I like that they have pictures of my honeymoon destination on the front, but am worried that they're too informal. My alternative is to wait until I get home and buy more of the other stationary. What do you think?

Dear SJ,

I'm so glad we could help with your planning.

While the idea is unique and I love your focus--wanting to write the notes ASAP--the cards may appear less than custom tailored per gift giver. It might appear as if you just wanted to get the cards written quickly and you were not "appreciating" the gift when the card was written. It is all about perception, isn't it?

Best wishes,
