Receiving gifts from someone not on the wedding guest list

We received our first gifts off our registry (yeah!), but they are from a friend's mother that we are not inviting to the wedding. Should I invite her now that she has sent gifts? She is such a sweet lady that I don't think she expects to be invited but it was so kind of her to send gifts (SEVERAL of them too).

Dear Grateful,

It isn't necessary because she wanted to give to you. It was sweet and generous, but most likely completely without pretense.

If you have the room, it would be a nice gesture to invite her. She just may be the guest you remember the most.

Best wishes,
