Should a bride and groom return their gifts to the senders if they divorce within a year? What would be the time frame on this rule if it is in place? Should there be a divorce announcement? What if some of the gifts have been opened and used (like sheets) but some have not? What about a cash gift?

Re: [emilynn] Return Wedding Gifts if Divorce?

No, wedding gifts are only returned if the marriage doesn't take place (which is why gifts should not be used until after the wedding).
You wouldn't send out a formal announcement about your divorce. If you want to write a personal letter to friends and family that would be more appropriate. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
