     SHOWER AND WEDDING GIFTS

I am the wedding coordinator for a very good friend. I have recently given a lingerie shower and purchased a gift. I was also invited to a linen shower, attended and gave a gift for this. Now, my question. I am providing my services as the wedding coordinator at no expense to the bride and groom. Am I still expected to give a "wedding gift"?

Thanks.

Dear J. Norton,

You shouldn't have been invited or expected to give a gift for two showers. This is not proper and is considered greedy gift-grabbing behavior.

No, you are not expected to give a wedding gift. Your gift is your services.

They owe you.

Best wishes,
