Should adult son give a sperate weddding gift

Our 25-year old son's name was attached to the wedding invitation. Should he give a gift in addition to ours?

Dear Lynneskiv,
He really should have been sent his own invitation.
It is your choice. He is obligated to give a gift if he is attending. But, if all of you wish to give a group gift, then this is fine as well.
