     Unsigned Cheque

My wife and I recently got married and where opening our wedding gifts. We noticed that one of the cash gifts was an unsigned cheque from my Aunt/Uncle. We're not sure if we should mention this, but fear this may embarrassed them. Or should we just let it be and thank them for the thoughtful gift and hope they don't notice any withdrawal hope they are not insulted.

Any suggests would be helpful.

Dear JMS,

They will be watching for the check to clear. So, it would most likely be best to tell them that the check was unsigned. Definitely thank them for the generous gift first.

Best wishes,
