     Very Late Thank You Cards

I was rearranging our home office, when I recently found a pile of completed Thank you cards that had never been stamped or mailed. I was married 18 months ago! I feel awful about this huge oversight. I know I need to send something asap. Is there anything explanatory I can write (I'm willing to re-write them if necessary) or should I just put them in the mail and bear the shame?
Thank you

Dear Really Late,

Speaking of late...this post seemed to have fallen through the cracks. I'm sorry.

Yes, it is best that you write some apologetic explanation as to why these were not mailed. But, most everyone should understand.

Best wishes,
