     Wedding Card Box

I've been to many weddings where the couple had a box for the guests to place cards, if they brought one. I'm getting married next year, and was wondering if this is something that should be at the reception. I was searching online for the purpose of them, and found that they are a more secure place to hold cards, and an easier way to transport them.

Thank you!

Re: [SNeptune] Wedding Card Box [In reply to]

Dear SNeptune,

There are some cultures that give more cards, usually with money, than others and a card box is used. But, it isn't considered proper mainstream etiquette. It is proper to ship the gift before the wedding. So, it would be best not to include a box. It could be viewed as a wishing well which is viewed as tacky.

Best wishes,
