My husband & I have been invited to a wedding where the couple is not registered. We realize that we must (and want) to give a gift since we've been invited to the wedding; what is the correct etiquette between giving cash or a gift card and how much should we give? The bride is an acquaintance through business networking and the groom was married to my husband's second cousin many, many moons ago, if that helps.

Gifts should be sent to the home of the bride before the wedding. If the couple is not registered, select a gift that compliments your relationship and your budget. There is no certain dollar amount that can be quoted. Please review the many prior postings we have had on this subject which further outline wedding gift giving etiquette.
